This bee Birthday card was simple and quite quick to make. I made it for a friend who adores bees of all shapes and sizes…and she loved it!
I used a circle stamp, from ‘Marianne Designs’ – ‘Doodle Circles’ (see image above) for the background and a bee stamp that was from an old stamp set, designed by Leonie Pujol. However, any little bee stamp, or even little butterflie, would suit the design.
The small splodges on the background were made with a ‘paint splash’ stencil. I used the same purple ink I used with the circle stamp and inked lightly through select areas for different tones.
I chose a ‘Happy Birthday’ stamp for the centre of the card. It has a lovely hand-written style to it and was perfect for the whimsical look. You could chose any sentiment for this design for a variety of occasions.
The card was put together using 3D glue for the bees and I then glued some flat back pearls around the circle. What more did it need? Simple cards are always my favourite to make. I love taking my time to make sure all the little elements come together and put extra effort in keeping it a clean design (and literally lol.)
Like I always say… Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read about my buzzy bee birthday card, I really do appreciate it!
