I used the fantastic, dolphin scene die from ‘Craftascope‘. Truly stunning (and from what I heard, was supposed to be impossible to manufacture!)
Firstly, I put a double-sided glue sheet on the back of some white card. It’s soo much easier to stick it down and saves faffing around with wet glue. I then mounted it on some more white card and trimmed it down to make it look like a Polaroid photo.
Paper piecing is using the waste shapes from cutting the die. I needed to use the die various times to cut different colours. There is no need to cut the pieces using the whole die each time, so this technique is great for using all those small bits of card left over from other projects. It can be a tad time consuming but it’s definitely worth it for this fantastic result!
Once they were all cut, I glued them down. It’s like doing a jigsaw really and it’s great to see it come together for an awesome stained-glass effect!
The sentiment ‘Embrace life’ is from the ‘Positive Journey’ stamp set. To keep it simple, I stamped it onto white card and mounted it beneath the scene with some yellow ribbon.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you have as much fun as I did playing with the collections from ‘Craftascope‘.
