My attention span and memory are absolutely useless and (if you are anything like me), there is a need to keep some sort of record for the brain spill lol! I always like to jot things down if I’m out and about. Whether it’s an creative idea or a list (or a list of a list, lol), this little note book I made, is just perfect for my needs.
The stamps and stencils I used to create the cover are from ‘Craftascope‘. The stamp sets I used were; ATC Antics and Media Stamp Set Profile. Also, the ‘Fun Retro’ stencil was used.
The front and back cover was made from mount board with a square die. Using the same die, I also cut the pages out of kraft card. You can make as many pages as you like. All you need is a longer piece of string to bind.
To start, I glued some grey, leather-look paper onto the front and back cover. Once dry, I cut the paper down with a craft knife and sanded the edges for a shabby look.
On the front cover, I layered up the background with the bubble wrap texture stamp from ‘ATC Antics’ and used the stencil (Retro Fun) to create an embossed focal point for when I placed the face.
I brought the background together with white gesso: just dry-brushed the edges and random places, to merge all the separate elements together.
The face was really quick to do. I stamped the face onto white card and cut out. I decided that I wanted a bit of quirkiness, so I glued down the top half of the face and trimmed.
I love a good sentiment, so I chose the ‘Everyone has a story’ stamp. It’s a perfect one for a travel note book and is in a great font too!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope I have given you a bit of inspiration to create your own little note book.
